Confidence Reset

When emotions spike, we shrink the moment. One breath. One phrase. One next step.

  • Breathe: In 4 • Hold 2 • Out 6
  • Phrase: “Next right thing.”
  • Action: One small controllable (stance, effort, eyes, next play)
  • Reframe: Brave > perfect
  • Close: “You’re not alone. I’m right here.”

Game-Day Calm

The goal isn’t to eliminate nerves. It’s to stay steady inside them.

  • Parking lot reset: breathe + name the job (“one pitch,” “one touch,” “one rep”)
  • Focus cue: pick a tiny target (cone, seam, spot on rim)
  • Body cue: shoulders down, jaw unclench, hands relaxed
  • Between plays: exhale + “next action”
  • After mistakes: “short memory, strong response”

Guidance Scripts

Short sentences. Calm tone. Repeatable words. That’s what lands.

  • Before: “Have fun. Be brave. Trust your work.”
  • During pressure: “Breathe. One play.”
  • After a mistake: “I love how you responded.”
  • After a tough day: “What did you learn? What will you try next?”
  • Always: “Doing the right thing is always the right choice.”
